How do we fight fires today?

On Thursday 13th November, there was great excitement in Lindisfarne as the fire engine came to visit! As part of ourĀ  topic, we were exploring how the Great Fire of London has changed our lives. We compared fire fighting equipment used today with that used over 300 years ago and got the opportunity to ask LOTS of questions! We even had a turn with the hoses, sat inside the fire engine, put the sirens on and even dressed Mrs Hayden up! A HUGE thank you to Mr Hayes and his colleagues for taking the time to give us this fabulous experience!
