Spring 2013

Well, Its been a busy and exciting term for the Eco club. On the 20th March we met Cyrilyn Moore the Director of Operation Orphan in a school assembly to explain about the Keep a Child Warm initiative and how it helps to keep orphaned and vunerable children stay warm in the long winter months of Central and Eastern Europe. We are excited to be helping with this scheme and hope all the children and families get involved in donating  winter coats, hats, gloves, boots, heavy fleeces. See the links below the gallery for more information.

The Eco team have been busy this term feeding the birds, planting new plants and herbs, tidying up our paths and grounds, making leaf compost, looking for signs of Spring, checking on our newly planted hedge and trees, composting and bird watching.

Finally we took a big step towards our Silver award by conducting our Environmental review with the eco team, from this we will devise an action plan over the easter break.

Well done to all the Eco team for their hard work and dedication to the club.
