Weekly Clubs

We pride ourselves on the range of clubs we have in school and continue to build on the success of our after school provision year on year, to provide the best opportunities possible, for your children.

Wrap Around Care.

Miss Pike runs the after school club, with help from Mrs Green and Mr Cannon. This is highly attended and very popular, giving parents flexibility with school drop off and collection times and providing children with high quality care, where they can learn new skills, take part in sports and enjoy spending time with friends.

Children who do not opt for discrete sports clubs through wrap around care, are still able to access: Table tennis, badminton, archery, general ball games and basket ball.

Breakfast club.

Our breakfast club provision begins at 7.30am and leads into the start of the school day.  Recently Mrs Mucha has joined Mrs Scrimshaw and Mrs Reeve and these three ladies make up the breakfast club crew.

A lot of funding has been put into the club and the children have access to a wide range of activities ranging from art and crafts, sporting activities and traditional games. The children spend some of their time in school, and weather permitting also access the playground and outside areas.

Activities are carefully planned and prepared by Mrs Mucha and the breakfast options continue to be as good as ever. Children feel they have ownership of the club, with their work and views on display in the hall.

After school clubs.

Our after school clubs vary each term and have benefitted from a wide variety of quality equipment for the children to use.

Monday - Modern Dance

This runs on a Monday after school and is led by Mel.  This club is for all year groups and is very popular. The children have fun learning new dance moves and coming together as a team to great a dance.

Tuesday - General After School Child Care

General After School Club consists of the children playing different games, doing arts and crafts, depending on the weather the children go out onto the play ground to play games. The children have a selection of activities to take part in.

Wednesday - KS1 and Girls Football

Children from Reception class, Years 1 and year 2 can take part in the football club which is ran every Wednesday by Mr Marc Cannon. Girls football is also held on a Wednesday for all age groups. We have a lot of girls interested in the Girls Football club and it is becoming very popular.

Thursday - KS2 Football and ECO Club

This club is expertly run by Mrs Mucha, Miss Evans and other adult helpers each week on a Thursday. This group takes children of all age ranges, who work to improve and maintain our wonderful school grounds, grow their own produce, provide food for wildlife around school, contribute to the summer fair and raise the profile of environmental sustainability in school.

KS2 Football is for boys from years 3, 4, 5 and 6. This fun and favored club is growing each week and The Priory Catholic Voluntary Academy has it's own Football team, which compete against other schools in a fun and sportsmanship manor.

Friday - General After School Childcare

General After School club consists of the children playing different games, doing arts and crafts, depending on the weather the children go out onto the play ground to play games. The children have a selection of activities to take part in.
