Today Iona Class and Lindidfarne Class came together for an afternoon of reflection on the Easter story (and a bit of fun too)! We started our afternoon by gathering together and remembering the story of Good Friday and then made Good Friday gardens, which remembered how this was a sorrowful day. We then talked about the Easter story and how we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus by singing alleluia and using flowers in church. We transformed our Good Friday gardens into Easter Sunday gardens to remember this. After play time we made some beautiful Easter cards to send to our families and then reflected on our afternoon's learning with a brilliant class worship. Well done to Mrs D'sa and the small group of children who organised that; year one thought it was lovely.
