Eco Schools
Welcome to our Eco club page
The Priory Catholic Eco club runs every Thursday from 3:15
until 4:30 with Mrs Mucha and Miss Evans.
We are blessed with large and beautiful grounds surrounding our school to nurture and look after. We are also very proud to have extremely dedicated children, who enjoy looking after all of our habitats around the school and keeping it 'buzzing' with wildlife.
It is thanks you all your hard work that we have achieved our Gold Eco Schools status.
Keep an eye on our page for lots of updates and pictures of all our fun seasonal activities and how we help the school and our local community stay green!
Late Autumn and Spring 2017 have been lots of fun and very productive. We have planted many plants, including our buddlehea (provided by the PTA) and a new hedge, pruned trees (with Michael and Dan from Wildlife & Eco gardens), put up more habitats for the birds and bats,(with Mr Timby), worked on our meadow boundary putting in new posts and plants, made bird feed, met lots of different people from the community, who we have learnt lots from and we have so much planned for our Summer term ahead :) Have a look at all our pictures for a glimpse into Eco club and all the fab things we do.
Summer fun at Eco. We have been making a scarecrow for the Greasley gathering, holding a stall at our school summer fayre. Not to mention busy as ever, looking after our plants and birds and other habitats. We had a Saturday workshop to get some jobs done including; Taking ivy off the trees, maintaining our gravel path. We have also been improving our bug hotels and staining our bird tables.
