First-Class First Aiders!

Today we've had a slightly different morning to usual. When we arrived at school our tables and chairs had been moved and we met a visitor from St John Ambulance (which is a first aid charity). Our visitor's name was Darren and he taught us about what to do in an emergency! We learnt all about DR ABC (can you remember what each letter stands for), including how to put somebody in the recovery position and how to put a dressing onto a big cut. As well as learning how important it is to deliver effective and prompt first aid, we also had lots of fun: just check out the pictures! We'd like to say a big thank you big thank you to Darren! Well done also to the children in York Class, who behaved excellently and listened carefully!
