The highlight of this week has been our class residential trip to Beaumanor! All the children enjoyed rock climbing, archery, orienteering, a murder mystery evening, hide and seek in the cellars, bridge building and having the time to play with their friends in their free time in the beautiful grounds surrounding Beaumanor Hall. All children had a great time and enjoyed working together in teams and independently to achieve goals that would not have been possible in school. Many children pushed themselves despite their fears and tried their hardest in all activities, conquering fears of the dark or heights! All children behaved exceptionally well on the trip and were a delight to take. Well done and thank you everybody for a lovely (but tiring) 3 days! I'm sure you'll all sleep well tonight. Please see pictures below of our wonderful trip (more pictures are to follow). Have a nice weekend everybody and get some well earned rest! I'll see you all on Tuesday. Miss Blackburn

We've had another busy week this week in Lourdes class. Today we enjoyed going up to church for our school mass. Today we also did our big writing which which involved writing a letter to Gangsta Granny from Ben. I can't wait to read all your emotional letters! We have used this myth to explore the evils of the world and hope, discussing the effects they had on Ancient Greece then and our modern lives today. RE was based around our new topic of 'transformation' and this involved us each researching a renewable energy source and exploring its pros and cons and how we feel about this in relation to our beliefs as Christians. In topic we begun 'Ancient Greece' and explored what modern Greece is like today, in addition to locating Greece on a map and the 'Ancient Greece' period on a timeline.
