Recent Developments in PE

Mrs Kelly has been on  two amazing PE courses this year to learn all about a new approach to Physical Education.  She will be sharing her knowledge and excitement with the other staff in school soon very, and the new 'Real PE' system will be up and running this term.

If you have been into the school hall recently you will see our new 'Real PE' display, which will be an integral part of our PE sessions in the future. Children will be assessing their progress and Learning Journeys in PE on a regular basis.

Across school the children are already assessing their progress in PE at the moment.  They have PE journals that they complete after each PE session and they are encouraged to think about what skills they have been developing and how they can improve in their next session.

This mirrors the approach and theme that is an integral part of the 'Real PE' programme, where teachers are able to deliver a highly differentiated and personalised PE programme where children are encouraged to make decisions and monitor their progress each session.
