We have been hard at work investigating the characteristics of a range of materials, we have been sorting and grouping and using non-fiction books to find fun facts about materials. Did you know that you heat sand and chemicals to make glass? We have explored how heat changes materials and identified when changes are reversible or irreversible. We are also learning about water, how it can be a solid, liquid and gas.
Monday 17th March sees the beginning of National Science and Engineering Week with the theme of 'Explore the Future'. In year 2 we will be thinking about the future of transport. Don't forget the NSEW competition, to design a product that will help others in the year 2114! Get inventing.
